the process

1

We collect data

When visitors approach a specific store or public space, their smartphones will send out signals (pings) to locate a Wi-Fi network nearby. These pings are collected by Bumbee Labs and sent on to our cloud-based servers within the EU.

2

The data is cleaned & labelled

The data is processed before storage. The process has been analysed and approved with GDPR taken into account.

The data is processed by firstly anonymising the signals and then removing irrelevant signals (like printers, cash registers and spoofed addresses).

3

The data is fed to our AI model

The anonymous GDPR-Approved data goes into training the AI model. The model is then used to fill in missing data via extrapolation.

    4

The data is ready to use

The stored data is presented in compliance with GDPR.
